DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps engineer you already know the technologies necessary to help organizations merge operations with development, this role will require you to provide innovative solutions to implement the best processes for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement CI/CD governance, best practices, principles, processes.
  • Define and monitor overall system health – including network, database, security, applications and services, log files and metrics that measure availability.
  • Ensure stability, reliability and high availability across all environments.
  • Detect, communicate, and respond to service interruptions.
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyse their application to current configuration management needs.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on DevOps.
  • Strong scripting experience - Unix/Shell Scripting, Python.Good experience using Git, Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS – ECS, VPCs, CloudFormation Templates, EC2, auto scaling, load balancers.
  • Technical knowledge of Linux- and Windows- based platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment and strong understanding of SDLC best practices.
  • Understanding of enterprise application technology architecture, components, databases, networking, and infrastructure as code.
Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools – Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in build and deployment tools - Jenkins, Maven, npm.
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
