Tableau Developer - US

Your Tableau expertise will involve creating Tableau dashboard reports published in Tableau server, integrate dashboards within HTML via JavaScript, creating new BI reports and visualizations, and participating in the client feedback loop for overall system improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mappings/design.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review and improve existing systems and to integrate new systems.
  • Develop Tableau reports, in accordance with clearly defined business objectives.
  • Document reports, most specifically with regard to test and production deployment.
  • Provide advice with regard to best practices as well as reporting performance/optimization.
  • Perform acceptance testing to ensure that the queries and reports developed correspond to functional and non-functional requirements such as quality-related acceptance criteria.
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of proven commercial experience as a BI developer using Tableau and other data visualization tools such as Micro Strategy, Power BI, and others.
  • Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau-driven dashboards, analytics, and a working knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Server.
  • Experience with Alteryx and/or Business Objects.
  • Strong background in data warehouse design, for example, dimensional modeling.
  • In-depth understanding of databases, on-premise technologies such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and others.
  • Experience with ETL technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL with a solid experience in writing SQL code for querying, creating, and managing database objects.
  • Demonstrate understanding of different software development lifecycle methodologies including agile, and others.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Experience in the airlines industry.
  • A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in data modeling.

  • Bachelor’s degree
